Local Manufacturing Company

Purpose of the position: To provide our Customers with a Quality product. To assist the Department Supervisor in the daily operations of the Department.

Major Duties/Responsibilities (not limited to):

1. Production:

a. Maintain the production rate in the department.

b. Take the necessary steps to correct disruption caused by failure of machinery, tools, or material. Report to Supervisor if unable to correct.

c. Ensure that all scrap and NCM are complete and turned in for your area.

d. Ensure that all PC’s Hot Melt units, fans, and conveyors are turned off at end of shift.

e. Ensue that the Carton pick is completed daily.

2. Schedule. Assign specific jobs to employees in the department. Inform department of productivity goals.

3. Quality. Be responsible for the general quality of the work and be prepared to answer questions regarding whether the work meets productions standards.

4. Training. Show new people the work, answer their questions and inform them of work rules and practices.

5. Housekeeping. Maintain order and housekeeping in the assigned area.

6. Assist the Supervisor with assuring the safest work environment possible in the department. Maintain a department that is free from hazards and unsafe work practices. Safety training will be conducted in the team meetings and the Team leader will be responsible for conducting that training, where appropriate.

7. Assist Supervisor with assuring all materials and manufacturing procedures meet company specifications to maintain the company’s high degree of product quality.
